The Phenom 100 is the main rival of the Citation Mustang in the Very Light Jet segment. It was not long before the Phenom 100 took the top spot in this category. The Brazilian manufacturer Embraer has brought together all the ingredients that make the Phenom 100 a must-have in the private jet rental market. A sleek, modern design combined with low operating costs and outstanding performance, for a very light jet, make the Phenom 100 an attractive choice for short-haul private jet travel.
The Phenom 100 has set new standards in terms of style and comfort, thanks to a collaboration with BMW for the design of its cabin. With this private jet, Embraer wanted to meet the demands of high-end customers for functionality, design quality and ergonomics. Its large windows and oval-shaped aisle flood the cabin with light. The toilet space at the rear does not detract from the size of the hold of approximately 2m3 (i.e. approximately 5 suitcases) nor from the size of the cabin, which offers a rather generous habitability in a 4 to 5 seat configuration.
This entry-level private jet does not shy away from new technologies and flight performance. Its twin jet engines give it an optimum cruising speed of 750km/h and a range of over 2000km. The Phenom 100 can also fly at altitudes of over 12,400 metres, making it easier to avoid bad weather and reduce turbulence. The new E and EV versions have made some improvements, notably in cabin soundproofing and smoother braking. Widely available on the charter market, the Phenom 100 appears to be a good choice for private jet rentals for short flights such as Paris-Manchester, or Cannes-Geneva.
