Switzerland's busiest airport, Zurich lies about ten kilometres north of the centre, linked to the main station by a train ride of around ten minutes. Private flights use a business aviation terminal. Its three runways, including a 3,700 m one, handle every aircraft, and the Graubünden resorts and central Switzerland are within reach by road.
Zurich has strict night restrictions: late in the evening and at night, flights are not allowed. We plan your departure and arrival times around them.
Zurich is a coordinated airport: every arrival and departure needs a time slot. In January, during the Davos forum, demand is exceptional: book as early as possible.
Switzerland is part of the Schengen area but not of the EU customs union: Swiss customs apply to every flight, including from France. British travellers also go through passport control.
