Charter a Private Jet to Cairo

The Giza pyramids, the Nile and a thousand years of Islamic history

You think you know the Giza pyramids before you see them, and then comes the shock of finding them for real, at the end of a city avenue. Cairo is also the Nile at sunset, the lanes of Islamic Cairo, the cafés of Khan el-Khalili and, more recently, the Grand Egyptian Museum, where visitors come to see the treasure of Tutankhamun. A business city and the political capital of the Arab world, it also welcomes delegations, investors and conferences all year round. A private jet lands you at Cairo International Airport in just over four hours from Paris, nonstop, at the time you choose. A member of the Air Charter Association and the EBAA, MK Partnair charters your flight with certified operators.

The mosques of Islamic Cairo

From Saladin's Citadel, the view sweeps over the domes and minarets of historic Cairo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Just below, the Sultan Hassan Mosque, a 14th-century Mamluk masterpiece, faces the al-Rifa'i Mosque. A little further on, al-Azhar Mosque and the Khan el-Khalili souk are best explored on foot, ideally late in the day.

A felucca on the Nile

Nothing beats an hour on a felucca, the traditional sailing boat with its tall white sail, to see the city differently. You board in the late afternoon, the noise of the traffic fades, and the sun sets behind the river islands. We can book a private trip, with dinner on board if you wish.

Saqqara and the Pyramid of Djoser

About thirty kilometres south of the centre, the Saqqara necropolis is home to the step pyramid of Djoser, the oldest in Egypt, built nearly 4,700 years ago. The site is far quieter than Giza: you can enter tombs with walls covered in hieroglyphs, and the day easily extends to the pyramids of Dahshur.

Frequently asked questions

Which airport for a private jet to Cairo?

Cairo International Airport (CAI), about 17 km north-east of the city centre. Its 4,000 m runways handle every jet, from midsize to long-range, and private flights are handled away from airline passengers, with customs and immigration. For a stay focused on Giza, Sphinx International Airport (SPX), west of the city, is about 25 km from the Grand Egyptian Museum: we check whether it can accommodate your flight.

How much does a private jet to Cairo cost?

As a guide, a one-way London to Cairo flight is available from around €40,000 in a Midsize Jet, Paris to Cairo from around €37,000 (about 4 h 15 nonstop) and Geneva to Cairo from around €32,500, for the entire aircraft. From Dubai, allow from around €46,000 in a Super Midsize Jet. The price depends on the date, the aircraft and its availability.

Do I need a visa for Cairo?

Yes for British travellers: the visa can be obtained online before departure (e-visa) or on arrival, with a passport valid for at least six months. On our side, every private flight to Egypt needs a landing permit: we request it as soon as the flight is confirmed, together with the passenger list.

When is the best time to visit Cairo?

From October to April, when the days are mild and sunny: the ideal season for Giza and Saqqara. From June to September, temperatures often exceed 35 °C, so sites are best visited early in the morning. During Ramadan, museum and restaurant hours change: we take this into account in your programme.

How long does it take from the airport to the pyramids?

From Cairo International Airport, allow about an hour by road to Giza, sometimes more at rush hour, and 30 to 45 minutes to the city centre or Zamalek. Your driver waits at the foot of the aircraft; we can also arrange an Egyptologist guide for your visit.
