On the east coast of the island, near Kamari beach, Santorini Airport is about 6 km from Fira and half an hour by road from Oia. It handles private jets as well as airliners, with direct flights from all over Europe in season. From June to September, it is one of the busiest airports in the Greek islands: a private flight there needs to be planned ahead.
In high season, parking spaces for private jets are scarce: the slot and the parking space must be requested well in advance. Sometimes the aircraft drops you off and then flies to another airport to park; we tell you so from the quote stage.
The country is part of the Schengen area: no border checks when flying from France or Switzerland. From London, border police check passports on arrival; we send the passenger list in advance.
Allow around fifteen minutes by road to Fira and Imerovigli, and about half an hour to Oia. We book your chauffeur-driven car so that it is waiting for you on arrival.
