The Grand Duchy's only international airport, Luxembourg-Findel lies on a plateau about 6 km north-east of the city centre. Private flights use a business aviation terminal, away from airline passengers. Its single 4,000 m runway, one of the longest in the region, handles every aircraft, from Light Jets to airliners. Kirchberg, with its European institutions and banks, is about ten minutes away by car, and the old town about fifteen.
Private flight passengers use a dedicated terminal: quick formalities, direct access to the aircraft and a car waiting at the exit. Ideal for a meeting in Kirchberg or the city centre.
Luxembourg is part of the Schengen area and the EU customs union: from France, Belgium, Germany or Switzerland, there is no passport check. From the UK, police and customs checks take place on arrival.
With less than an hour of flight from Paris or Geneva and a city centre close by, Luxembourg is well suited to a day return trip. The aircraft waits for you and leaves as soon as your meetings are over.
