Catalonia's main airport, Barcelona-El Prat lies by the sea in the Llobregat delta, about 13 km south-west of the centre. Private flights use a business aviation terminal, away from the passenger terminals. Its three runways handle every aircraft, from Light Jets to airliners, and the city centre is usually 20 to 30 minutes away by car.
Barcelona is a coordinated airport: every arrival and departure needs a time slot, which we book together with the flight plan. During major trade fairs such as the Mobile World Congress, book as early as possible.
Spain is part of the Schengen area: from France or Switzerland, there is no passport check. From the UK, police and customs checks take place on arrival.
In summer and during major events, parking for business aircraft is in high demand. If needed, the aircraft drops you off, waits at another airport and comes back for your return.
