Located in Mauguio, 7 km east-south-east of Montpellier and close to the Mediterranean beaches, Montpellier Méditerranée handled almost 1.7 million passengers in 2025. Its 2,600 m runway is used by 14 scheduled airlines, and part of the apron is set aside for business aviation. MK Partnair takes care of the arrangements, from prior notice to ground handling.
Unscheduled flights need agreement from a handling agent and the airport operator at least 24 hours in advance, and handling is mandatory above 6 tonnes. Customs are staffed from 05:00 to 22:00 UTC; outside those hours, 7 hours' notice and a general declaration are required. No curfew is published in the AIP, but the operator works from 05:00 to 21:00 UTC depending on scheduled traffic (winter UTC times, one hour earlier in summer).
With a 2,600 m runway and stands sized for aircraft up to the A321neo and Boeing 737-800, the airport is well suited to narrow-body airliners. There is a single de-icing unit, available by prior arrangement, so winter flights need planning ahead.
