On the shore of the Bay of Kaštela, between Trogir and Split, Split Airport is the gateway to central Dalmatia. It handles private jets and airliners, about ten minutes from Trogir and around half an hour from the centre of Split. From there, the islands of Hvar, Brač and Vis are reached by boat from the nearby ports.
In high season, the airport is very busy and parking for private jets is limited, especially at weekends. We request your space as soon as you book.
The country is part of the Schengen area since 1 January 2023: no border checks when flying from France or Switzerland. From London, border police check passports on arrival; we send the passenger list in advance.
For Hvar or Brač, we arrange the car to the port of Split or Trogir, then a private boat or a catamaran. Allow about an hour's crossing to Hvar.
