Boeing builds the 737 in three generations: the 737 Classic (-300, -400, -500), the 737 Next Generation (-600, -700, -800, -900) and the 737 MAX. The Next Generation was designed to answer the Airbus A320, with a longer range, transcontinental capability and a higher maximum take-off weight.
On the charter market, the 737-700 usually seats 147 passengers in a single-aisle cabin. With a full group on board, it can fly Paris to Warsaw or Lyon to Catania non-stop, which makes it a favourite for short and medium-haul group flights: seminars, incentives, sports teams and tour operators.
A corporate version, the Boeing Business Jet (BBJ), is also available, with 19 to 55 seats in a VIP cabin.
